Building A Legacy

Building A Legacy

1st Doctors Appointment

Yesterday, Jon and I visited my primary care doctor. The appointment went well. On Monday, March 31st I can schedule my first OBGYN appointment with my soon to be midwifes and because of complications and the miscarriage, I will get to go in early to see them and get this pregnancy started! :) They'll be able to watch hormone levels and things like that. Though- no matter what, God's hand are on this pregnancy and I can only seek true comfort in him-- doctors can do and say a lot to try and make me feel at ease, but really-- God's already decided.

Doctor Melissa prescribed for me my prenatals.... yay! I've been barely stomaching the over the counter brand I picked up-- boy do they stink.

That's it for now-- tomorrow is Jon's birthday so today-- we're going to get out of the house, check out some new home possibilities, and go for a hike at Great Falls.

Who We've Told

The joy of telling family and friends is such a neat feeling. Since we're only telling a selected few for the time being-- please keep us in your prayers (Jon, Baby, and me!) It's a wonderful time, but also-- difficult because of the unknown. We are trying to keep a positive front and really enjoy this time, but this time around-- I feel EVERYTHING. Every little cramp, pain, discomfort--and although it's God's way of preparing my body to house this precious child, I'm still a little frightened at moments.

Jonathan Stube- my best friend/husband/love
On Saturday, March 22nd (4 days before I could take a pregnancy test according to my fertility friend calculator) Jonathan and I woke up and waited for the bathroom to become vacant. I say this to say, we were visiting my family for Easter and to me, we only have one bathroom and 11 people visiting at the time. Finally-- the bathroom was free and Jon and I snuck in so I could pee on the stick. Within seconds two beautiful pink lines appeared and we were overcome with happiness. We're having a baby!

Anne Narber-
I called her shortly after the test to tell her to pray. :) We're having a baby!! Our child's due date is her daughter Emma's birthday, December 4th. How special!!

Mom and Dad (Marmee and Grandpa) Uncle Evan, Aunt Natalie, Brian Brecht--
We waited for TJ Strubble (sorry TJ) to leave (he was visiting Brian) to tell everyone. I had all kinds of ideas of how to make the big announcement, but when it came down to the moment, we were all standing in the kitchen and I blurted out-- "I'M PREGNANT"

Uncle Epic & Aunt Pinky--
We asked them how they felt about being an aunt and uncle, and well, they said they were up for it, so we said-- well... how about 9 months from now!!

Katie Myers-
Katie was online and celebrating her victory at the Easter Egg Hunt she just finished. She found 8 eggs!! Well-- I followed up with: Jon had found an egg-- one fertilized egg!!

Uncle Bag-
Called Ethan on the phone all day long! Finally he picked up late Saturday night... We said "We're Pregnant" and he muttered "yeah"... "cool"-- and that was that. WAKE UP ETHAN!! You're going to be an uncle!!! I guess that's what happens when you work night shifts and have a 3 hour time difference... and just got back from serving our country in Iraq... Love ya Ethan!

Joe Knight-
We basically copied Katie's story :) We told him Jon found a fertilized egg.

Ron & Mandy Robinson-
They took us out for sushi. Being prenant, I can't eat sushi (it's going to be a long 9 months... but I'm willing to make the sacrifice ) :) Ron and Mandy have 6 children. Two sets of twins!! I'm hoping they haven't jinxed us!! I guess we'll have to wait and see-- but we'll take whatever God gives us. Ron ordered all our food. He had me trying eel... that's right... EEL!! I never in a million year thought I'd try it--let alone... LOVE IT! I also had some cooked Cod and some fried shrimp, sweet potato, and squash... yum!! Oh... and a seaweed salad... with lots and lots of water.

Mom (Grandma?) and Dad (Opa)--
We got this idea from Eric and Mel's friend. We told his parents we had a card trick and buy the third round, each of us would know EXACTLY what our card was based on looking at everyone elses... Third Round- I had Mommy, Jon had Daddy, Mom had Grandma, and Dad had Opa!!

WHO'S NEXT???

Jon's brothers: Nathaniel and Andrew are coming to visit... so we're going to tell them in person. Followed by: Heather & Kristen

And then soon: Great Grandparents and our Aunt, Uncles, and Cousins

Friends
