Building A Legacy

Building A Legacy

Baby to Pre-toddler!

Brayden Timothy continues to surprise me- he's so different compared to Ruthie and it's fascinating to watch him learn and grow. Ruthie tackled each new milestone with confidence and never looked back. When she crawled- she crawled to a sturdy object to pull herself up and walk around objects... Brayden on the otherhand- well ...

On the day before Brayden turned 10 months old- he declared "I can crawl". He crawled slowly towards his Thomas train a few inches at a time! He seriously moves slower than a snail!! It's absolutely adorable to watch him raise his arms like a cat and slowly crawl across the floor. In these few weeks since his first movements- he's getting across the floor a little quicker. He also decided that he'd show off and pull himself up into a standing position. Ah!! He pulled himself up and his wobbly legs barely kept him up before he fell over in his crib. It's hilarious to watch him- he is so proud of himself- but he gives his mommy some scares.

So crawling, standing... that's plenty of new things- but wait!! There's more!! My little man has the most adorable two bottom teeth! I remember so clearly now the day Ruthie popped her little bottom teeth. They have very similar smiles. I can't believe how different he looks with these little teeth. He didn't show any signs of teething (like his sister did!!) One day- I looked and I saw these little white buds getting ready to break through- a day or two later- there they were!

Congratulations little man!! I cannot believe you are crawling and standing on those cute chubby legs of yours. I love you so much!!

3 Year Old Princess

3 Year Old Princess:

Ruthie celebrated her 3rd Birthday on December 4th. Her birthday fell on her favorite day of the week- Sunday... so we started the day with a trip down the valley to PVCC. After church, Ruthie and I dropped Brayden off for his nap and headed to the Party Store to pick out her special birthday balloon. With some help from mommy (whoops!) she picked out a pretty princess balloon and a couple of other fun things for the day!

I was hoping I could get my sweet girl down for a nice nap before the party- but with all the excitement she tossed and turned until 1/2 hour before party time. She was not happy when we woke her!

Some of her favorite people attended her Princess Party- Ava Drake, Abby Clark, Piper Curling, Peyton Allen, & Z Kurz. Plus some family and "older" friends! We started off with a few projects: Creating a Frame and decorating a tiara or a sword.

With the help of my dear friend Barb, we created a castle photo booth for the kids to get their picture taken in-- hopefully I'll get the pictures printed out soon!

And of course, a birthday party is not complete without a Cake - this year, mommy created a Crown cake that I think turned out very cute.
