Building A Legacy

Building A Legacy

15 Month

Ruthie Mackenzie- you are just fascinating! I just love watching you and spending time with you. When I go out without you (which is so very rare) I miss you every moment I'm away from you. You bring so much delight to me, I can't even put it into words. You are such a special little girl to your parents and I love you very very much!! 15 Months old and you just keep growing. We have a doctors visit scheduled for the end of the month, but since we just had you in Urgent Care for a horrible rash, that turned out to be thrush and strep throat... we found out that your current weight is 24 lbs and you are 30 inches long!! BIG GIRL!! I just can't believe how quickly you continue to change from my little baby to my little girl. :) Writing that puts a gigantic smile on my face!!

So what's new with this last month... ???
Your vocabulary continues to increase. Just the other day, you've learned how to shake your head and say "no"!! It is as cute as anything, but mommy wonders how quick the cuteness will run out :) You LOVE to say "no" ... though, you haven't quite mastered what "no" truly means... but you will!! Other words include: duck, e i e i o, moo, bounce, meow, quack, duck, yes, PO!! (ah!! you learned how to ask for your po (pacifier) ... soooo cute!) Miles, Opa, Pa, GaGa (grandma) sheep, stairs, please, thankyou, nose, eyes, sit down, and I'm sure there are so many more that I just can't think of right now, but you continue to just pick up new words each and every day.

Learning your body... I'm amazed at how quickly you're learning where certain body parts are. Before, you would point to Daddy's and Mommy's nose, ears, eyes, ouch (my mole) and hair. Just this past week you have begun to point to your own little button nose, your eyes, your ears, your hair, your head, your teeth, your BELLY BELLY BELLY, your toes, your feet, your hands, and now... your knees. :) You have also discovered your tongue as mommy shows you hers and then you'll mimic me! :)

Numbers & ABC's- You are learning how to count and will count: one, two, three and sometimes you'll also help mommy say "A, B, & C". You amaze me at how quickly you're learning. You're also learning some colors... blue, red, green, yellow

You are also learning how to jump or bounce as you like to say. :)- it's so cute to watch you try so hard to get your little feet off the floor and I love every moment of it. You're my little gymnast. You just love to bounce (especially with your "Pa") and now watching you concentrate so hard to perfect this skill is just so much fun to sit back and watch.

Keep growing and learning my little love. I tell you often, and it' true... I LOVE YOU!

Love, Mommy
