Well-- pregnancy has been rough. You got your name Cashew after our first ultra sound on April 17th. Little Cashew is strong and healthy and making mommy very sick! I haven't kept anything down so after a visit to the hospital on April 14th to get a hydration treatment and some Zofran through an IV it came to no surprise when I returned to the emergency room on April 19th and it took me three bags of fluid to finally pee that they were going to admit me into the hospital :( -- Boo! While there-- it was discovered that I had a UTI which thank goodness they were able to treat during my stay! I stayed in the company of nurses and doctors until April 24th when they finally sent me home only to be seen by a in-house nurse who hooked me up to a Zofran pump. With the pump constantly pumping me full of meds-- I was able to get enough into my system to be able to stay at home.
Katie Brady-- my next door neighbor (literally a door away) was a life savor. She would bring me up some fruits (watermelon works well) and some fluids. I haven't wanted to eat much because I still am very sick but fruits and fish seem to keep (but in little tiny helpings!!)
