13 Months
Ruthie- my little girl. Oh how quickly your growing. I can't believe how fast the last year has gone by and now were 1 month into the second! You are such a bright little girl. I'm fascinated with everything you take in day by day and then spit out words like "thank you" out of the blue!
This month you're continuing to learn so much. Like I said, you've learned to say "thank you" and your vocabulary continues to grow. Though, you're still not saying "mama" anymore and that makes me a little sad. Today you looked up at your daddy's picture on the wall and said "daddy" :) Pretty awesome! You also wanted me to dress you so you brought me over your clothes that were laying on the couch (I was feeling a little sick so I stopped at your onesie) Christmas was AWESOME! So much you learned from your birthday. You opened your gifts and enjoyed the wrapping paper and also the present itself! Yay! We got you your first Cabbage Patch. Her name is Suzy and has brown eyes and brown hair! You also got some building blocks, books, and some cute clothes too! Uncle Evan and Aunt Natalie surprised us Christmas night by showing up at our doorstep. We def were not expecting them. I almost woke you up with my scream!
Oh my, you are getting in some teeth. You were slow to get them in, but you're catching up now! You had three top teeth pop all within a day of each other. It was a hard time for mommy and baby! You are still teething, but hopefully with a little motrin, you won't have too much pain.
This year, we also started our new family tradition of going and picking out our Christmas tree as a family. It was sooooo cold Ruthie, but you were a trooper. It didn't help that we forgot your hat and so you had nothing protecting your face.

For Christmas, Grandma Marshall or Marmee got you an adorable Santa dress (last year right after you were born!) Oh man, did you ever look CUTE!!! We struggled to get a family picture of the three of us all dressed up, but we did get this adorable picture of you and your daddy. This picture was taken way past your bedtime and you still smiled and cuddled up with your daddy.

She's saying Mama now! I love the blog honey. I'm sure Ruthie will love it some day too. Thanks for keeping up with it. You're a great mom in so many ways. Love you!
