Neurologist- I feel like every few weeks I'm updating this blog with a new and scary issue for my little guy. A week ago, we were having a normal evening at home when all of a sudden Brayden started tremoring/seizuring on my dads lap. An hour later Brayden did a series of tremors that lasted 5 seconds each time for a total of 7 times. We called the on-call doctor who assured us he was okay but to call back if he had any more.
The following day- I was home alone with him when he started tremoring again. He did another series of 5 or 6 for 5 seconds each time. I immediately called the doctor and they set up an appointment for the following day, but told me they thought he was just fine.
Finally getting in to see Brayden's pediatrician he decided that we should see a neuro pediatric doctor to make sure something wasn't more serious. He said since he wasn't losing consciousness he was probably okay, but wanted to make sure. It's hard to get in to see a neurologist unless the matter was urgent but our pediatrician assured us that he felt this wasn't something that needed to be checked in the next few weeks so we settled for an appointment in December.
That evening after Brayden's doctor visit, we had a worship night with the Alteros. After a great night of worship, Tim and Ashley prayed over my little man.
The following day, I received a call from the doctors office stating someone canceled an appt to see the neurologist and asked if we'd be able to make an appointment for this Monday!! She apologized for short notice as I thanked her repeatedly for calling us!
So- stay tuned... tomorrow is Brayden's neuro appointment. Brayden has had a few more tremors here and there but thankfully no series of tremors. Prayers welcome!
